Menopausal Gals are Back!

The menopausal gals are back and better then before!
I have three show this Holiday season
and have made what feels like thousands of birds.  I must say they are smashing!  I have learned how to use a glue gun.  The gals are even more outrageous then ever.
Check out these lovelies.
Vatrina here is sporting a Busse Original.  Inspired from high society tea parties.
Eunice is ready for church - she is one of the original church ladies.
Patrice is off to the opera wearing a simply smashing topper.
Here are a whole gaggle of the girls.
These gals are patiently waiting for their hats to be milled.
This little number on Beatrice was inspired by the wild hats worn at The Royal Wedding this summer.

I've have chickens wearing the Eugenie and Beatrice wedding hats, the Aretha Franklin inaugural hat... and more!

I also have "Little Creatures From the Studio" and wreaths.

All my art is made from almost 100% recycled material (thread & lavender new).

Home Show This Weekend

Working like a happy dog getting ready for this years home show.  It was so much fun last year.  Come if you can, we'll have food, drinks and art.  Come and hang out in the garden and enjoy the spring.  It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend.
Studio
I've been making lots of blessing/prayer flags.  Most are made from recycled linen, silk and cotton dresses.  I even have a all wool one.   I am really loving ripping up unwanted clothing (poor unwanted clothing) and transforming it into something new and beautiful.  All of the blessing flags have wee-little pockets to slip your own blessings into.

I also have been making collage and watercolor pieces.  I found a wonderful garden book at the second-hand store and I have been painting the pages and putting it into my art as flowers, houses, mountains, etc.  I will have these originals and cards available of these new pieces.

Plus, Jan Schubert of Bee Happy Candles, Trisha Lambert of Colors of Nature, and Yelena of Snoozles will also be selling their wonderful art.  Jill Stengel will read her poetry both Friday evening at 5 and Sat and 11 am.

The Hatchlings
They look so weird with out their face, legs and hats.  Kinda like a zombie chicken.  Maybe I should make a line of Zombie Chickens  that might be kinda funny.
